Tomorrow is the Big Day

In a few hours BARE’s Relief Event  will commence. This is my first event and I am kind of nervous. Our planning has been pretty good concidering that we had two weeks to implement and I already have a full time job. Doing what you have to means working evenings but that is ok with right now. Do it young right? As Larry the Cable Guy would say "Get Er Done". Until the next time my friends this is Toby signing off…

To become a seeker is almost to become mad as far as the worldis concerned. So you are entering into madness. But that madnessis the only sanity there is! Our misery is that we have forgotten the language of love. The rea-son we have forgotten the language of love is that we have become too identified with reason. Nothing is wrong with reason, but it hasa tendency to monopolize. It clings to the whole of your being. Then feeling suffers — feeling is starved — and by and by you forget about feeling completely. So it goes on shrinking and shrinking, and that dead feeling becomes a dead weight; that feeling becomesa dead heart. Then one can go on pulling oneself along somehow — it wilalways be "somehow." There will be no charm, no magic, because without love there is no magic in life. And there will be no poetryeither; life will be all prose, flat. Yes, it will have grammar, but itwill not have a song in it. It will have a structure, but it will not havesubstance. The risk of moving from reason to feeling, and trying to bringa balance, is something only for those people who are reallycourageous — for mad people only — because the price of admit-tance is nothing but your reason-dominated mind, your logic-dominated mind, your mathematically dominated mind. When that attitude is dropped, prose is no longer at the center, butpoetry; purpose no longer at the center, but play; money no longer at the center, but meditation; power no longer at the center, but sim-plicity, no possessiveness, a sheer joy of life — almost a madness.

Good to see that you are keeping yourself busy!! I hope the Hawks do better on Sunday than they did against Jacksonville. I was watching Monday Night Football and they had a country singer (Toby Keith?) review all of the action for the week. One line, in refrence to the Saints game went something like "the Saints new home feild streches from coast to coast". I have to agree with that. I hope the Haks make the playoffs and actually win a game, but if they can\’t do it then I am pulling for the Saints.
