Christmas and New Years

These past two weeks have been just a riot with all the activities, family events and traveling so where should I start? How about Christmas.

Christmas Eve came really quick for me especially since I have been looking forward to going to the Seahawks and Chargers game all year. Mike picked me up at 9am and we made our way to Seattle for some free parking and to meet up with friends prior to the game; Brian, Brad, Andy, Rudy and Khallie. We grubbed and got down on some nachos then it was time to head into the game.

The first half was a defensive game with the Seahawks and Chargers both punting the football back and forth. It made it a quite game but that kept the Seahawks in the game until points could be put on the board. It took awhile and eventually the Seahawks got into the end zone twice and even added a field goal to the score. But sad to say it wasn’t enough to win because in the last minute of the game the Chargers got caught a deep pass for a TD to make the score 20-17. Ouch, the third straight loss for the Seahawks but the good news is that the 49ers lost so we clinched our division and are playoff bound.

Mom and I had Christmas Eve dinner when we both got back form the game and then relaxed the rest of the evening just talking by ourselves in the living room. Christmas morning it was just us again but we had some morning coffee while we opened presents. I scored some much needed cloths, 7 Diamonds shirt and pants, a sweater, socks and underwear (good thing some of mine need to be retired). Then it was off to my dads house for more food and family.

Dad and I had some breakfast then commenced to cooking for the big dinner at three. The menu was Prime Rib that was cooked on a rotisserie, 7 live Main lobsters dad had flown in, yams, beans, rolls and broccoli with cheese. We gorged our faces and tummies so much that it was difficult to get up from the table but we did and off to the living room for some presents.

Dad hooked me up with a 22 inch widescreen monitor for my computer which is just the sickest thing to work on. Now I just need to get a faster computer so I can maximize the gaming potential of that machine. It is so much nicer on my eyes for those long work nights and I can totally see it from my bed for those late night DVDs. Dad kick ass!

Then I took a few days off work to get my place in order for my ski vacation to Mount Hood, Oregon with Chris, Lindsey and I. It was fantastic and this blog is coming to you from the car on the way home (I’ll publish when I get in a few hours).  We spent most of our time in the terrain park where I busted out some very large air. Chris was using his helmet cam to film me but being the first time using it the camera wasn’t situated perfect so it caught only my feet on the approaches and landings, nothing in between. It is a bummer because I caught some huge air pulling a big x-up with a tail grab on back to back booters. Chris and I road the park all day and had a great time.

After getting back to the hotel Chris, Lindsey and I got cleaned up and headed out on the town for some dinner at the Macaroni Gill. Dinner was awesome but after such a long day of skiing we went back to the hotel to rest our sore bodies.

We left this morning and currently bombing down the freeway just north of Tacoma Washington. The drive isn’t too bad and traffic is light which makes driving so much easier than normal around here.

Tonight Chris, Lindsey and I are all going downtown Kirkland to meet up with my new girl friend Jyll, AceJacks and a host of other friends for some good conversation and pool. I haven shot pool in ages but it is a great reason to get my stick out and play shark all night :)

Wow that took awhile to get out there and one of my longest blogs in a long time. I thought about breaking it up in a few sections but as a catch up it works real well all blended together.

Until next time this is Goinbigger signing off…

Mt Hood

Today my buddy Chris, his wife, Lindsey, are leaving for Mt Hood, Oregon to go tear it up and ride are brains out! It is going to be a fun few days and something that is highly needed because right now work is driving me crazy to all get out. I did another post on my ActiveRain blog that is a little better than this but I needed to get some points over there.

The snow is falling and Goingbigger is ready for the action and my friends need to show up so we can get the heck out of here pronto. This will be only the second time I have gotten to go up to the mountains for some good fun and the first time is when Chris and I went to Stevens Pass in November.

My gear is packed, including my brain buckett, can’t leave home with out that one. But one thing that bums me is that all the helmet cams sold out during Christmas so I didn’t get the only thing I asked for :( My buddy Chris bought his in earlier December so he will have his but it isnt the same though. I’ll bring my tablet so we can suck footage off the camera as we fill it up and then on Friday night we may relax and put the movie together before we head back.

I’ll post a video on my YouTube site after the trip and probably make a post here in case anyone else would like to see it. Well Chris just called so I am OUTTA HEREEEEEEEE!!

Transformers the Movie

Today I was breezing though YouTube and I came across something that was awesome: Transformers the Movie Trailer. Being a huge Optimus Prime fan this movie is going to kick some serious ass!! I love action, sci-fi, blow shit up movies and this one is just going to be over the top. I have another video on my YouTube site that was made by 3dBlastphemy and it is of another Optimus Prime. It is a flat nose semi truck and being a serious truck guy this totally gets me fired up. TRUCKS RULE!!!

This should be the most anticpated movie of the summer and probably the most watched. All comic book and action figure people from the 80′s are going to so be watching it and I’ll probably go see it twice then buy the movie when it hits dvd. So far I have visited the Transformers Website (it takes a while to load since it is done in flash or something) and have been downloading wallpapers for my computer and this is my favorite right now, Flat Nose Optimus Prime.

Ah I can’t wait but I better going and clean my place since I am going to hit a matinee with my girlfriend…peace out!

Work Overload

Blogging has become a way of life for me over the past two years and from it I have met many awesome people. This blog was my first one and since then I have expanded to create a local real estate blog, two MySpace blogs and two YouTube Vlogs (though it is used more for fun videos and local media content than Vlogging).

My real estate blog is on a network that is geo targeted so it is easy to meet others in my state that posses a similar interest in technology and blogging. This last Tuesday I arranged an off site meeting for members of the network. We stayed up to late talking about tech and socially networking which was so much fun and interesting; it was a geek night out.

I really like working on the web anymore because it shows results in real time (well almost) and it can strategies can be measured with tracking for months. But lately my mind seems to be stretched thin and ideas are harder and harder to come by. I hope there is not such thing as exhausting brain ideas or there is a limited amount otherwise I’m toast and soon will be seen on the net dead in front of a pc.

Toby Barnett: Death by blogging
He worked so hard and for extensive periods of time that it ultimately lead to catastrophic failure.

Now that would suck if that really happened! But anyhoo I am off to go work on something…what it is I have no idea…yet…

Peace and love…BTW…I finally have a girlfriend!!

Goingbigger Exploration, Inc

I have been getting excited about my progress with my SETI Team and the statistics that my two computers are putting up. My power is partially out due to a big we had last Wednesday so I am down to one computer for the time being. I did a post a while back asking for people to join my team with hopes to recruit a few people from MSN Spaces. If you are interested please let me know or go to My Team and register. It is fun and easy and doesn’t require much from members. If you join the team everyone will recieve a link from the site to there site, a small incentive :) Hope to see people there and have a great day!

Memed

Today, after my power turned on I noticed I had been meme’d by an ActiveRainer Toby Boyce. Jay Thompson started the event for members of the ActiveRain community and what the heck it sounded kind of fun and thought that it would make for a great post on my MSN Space. So here goes nothing :)

Topic: Five Things You Didn’t Know About Me
  1. I believe in Aliens – I have had a over curious mind for extraterrestrial life ever since I had an experience when I was 15 years old. It has become a quest of mine to find an answer to a question that many have pondered, written about, seen and experience since that day.
  2. I believe that I am completly different from everyone else – Growing up I have noticed my thought process and ideas that have come to my head are not what "normal people" think of. The quest for knowledge and theories consume my head which makes it difficult to turn it off.
  3. I used to compete – When I was younger I competed in Karate and was a Junior Olympian in Kata taking 6th place (6th medaled) in St. Petersburg Florida. After that I competed with my dirt bike while racing in Harescramblers and Desert Events taking a few trophies with one being a 1st place in a 24hr team event.
  4. I cry during movies -  Contrary to popular belief I am not a tough guy. I used to hide it but then I quit caring with others think and let it all go during a movie. If a movie is heartfelt and touches something personal I let it all and tears will stream down my face. The cool thing is that it feels so good and refreshing when it happens.
  5. I used to hate to write – Back in high school and college there was nothing more paining then writing a paper or essay because I was horrible at writing. My ambition for blogging started and grew from wanting to improve my writing for myself.

Wow that was harder than I thought and can’t believe I shared #1. It was fun to do this even if for my own exercise in writing and who knows it might happen again :)

49ers vs Seahawks

I have had enough of this loosing to crappy team stuff and times need to change. Last week Hasselbeck (my boy) had a great game but we still couldn’t come through with a win…Goingbigger wants Pain tons and tons of Pain!! Gore is going down he won’t be doing Goingbigger bigger stuff. Maybe he should start a site called Gore:Sucks.com!! I want to see him beat down and it is garuanteed that Goingbigger will be at the game helling at him and the rest of the 49ers.

Goingbigger’s Prediction: Pain…Goingbigger Likes Pain

Pregame against the Cards

This weekend the Hawks are on the road again facing the Cardinals. It is a must win to keep building our lead in the NFC. The Hawks need to carry the momentum into the game that they had at the end of the Sunday Night Denver game. My mom and her boyfriend flew to AZ for the game to represent the Blue & Green!!

If the Hawks win this game they move to 9-4 and have a comanding lead in the NFC and a great shot at home field advantage for the palyoffs. Another big game this week is the Dallas vs Saints game. They are both tied with the Hawks at 8-4 so this is a desisive game for the NFC. After this week there will be either one or two teams tied for 2nd in the NFC and I sure hope the Bears loose. Their defense can’t keep winning their games. My prediction of the Bears is really starting to come through, Rex will be the downfall the team.

The Hawks are going to rule the roost in AZ and bludgeon the Cards to death and then feast on their carcasus!! But to do that the Hawks have to stop the run game (our week point all season) and they have a great running back that is waiting to have a huge game, Edgerrin James. AZ has weapons in the recieving core as well like Fitzgerald and a great rookie quarterback Leinart. Even I don’t the Cards I do like Leinart.

I have been saying it all year, we need to pressure the quarterback to force bad decisions and create turnovers. But it seems that later part of the year we have been having trouble doing that. Last week we forced tons of turnovers all over the field and we need to do it again while getting our offense into the end zone. That way we can have a great football game and show the NFC that the Hawks paly Superbowl football!!

Goingbigger’s Prediction: Pain, lots and lots of Pain!!

Seahawks beat the Broncos 23-20

What a stress fest Sunday Night’s game was. Between the turnovers, both teams, and all the punting I wasn’t sure if any points where going to be put on the board.

The opening half was a wild one with the Broncos scoring first with a field goal and a TD. Being down 0-10 it didn’t look good for the Seahawks because moving the football was difficult with the quality defense Denver was showing. But late in the first half Cutler made a rookie mistake, instead of taking the sack he tried to force the football and it went right into a Seattle defender arms resulting in a defensive touchdown.

Like the Bears, the Seahawks defense was keeping us alive. When the half ended it seemed that the Hawks would have to find some serious rhythm in order to score an offensive TD. Out of the locker room they came with rhythm in full stride and first downs were common place, thank goodness.

Hasselbeck managed to connect to Darrell Jackson for a few long passes and the defense produced more turnovers to get the Hawks into their first lead of the game with a passing TD from Hasselbeck. On the kick off, Josh Brown came in and gave a boot and on the return, Kelly Jennings got the strip and Brown laid a hit on the kick off return that would make any linebacker proud (Our kicker is so much badder than yours).  But that is not the end of the drama, no no, far from it.

With Josh Brown missing to first half field goals, very uncharacteristic of him, 40, 53 yrd, he put two through the uprights after a Hasselbeck passing TD. With the score being 20-13 with 3:30 left in the 4th quarter and Denver have no time-outs it looked as if it was in the bag. Wrong-O

Cutler connected on a 68 yrd pass that was taken to the house. On that play there was 5 missed tackles that lead to the TD. It is now 20-20 with less that 2 minutes on the clock and it Seahawks football.

By now the bald spot was showing on the melon because I was ripping my hair out! Holy Cow! How with this one end?
Hasselbeck starts the final drive of the game from their own 20 after a holding penalty on the kick off. Ok this is manageable we can drive this to the house, plenty of time on the clock. Hasselbeck makes a few great passes to move the Hawks down field and within striking distance of the end zone but Coach has a different game plan.

When the Hawks get into field goal range they bring out Josh “Mr. Clutch” Brown and with the game on the line he nails a perfect kick to give the Hawks the lead of 23-20 with 5 seconds left on the clock.

After the kick off, Denver went for the lateral play but with no avail. Denver turns it over and the Hawks recover with zero time left on the clock. Seahawks win at Mile High Stadium in a gut wrenching 23-20 upset!

The Hawks move to 8-4 and are currently in second place in the NFC. Tonight will be a show stopper with the Dallas Cowboys (7-4) take on the New Orleans Saints (7-4) in a NFC second place scramble. It will be a good game and I can’t wait to watch.

Hope your team did well this week and before this ends I got to give a shout out to Bronco Danny for a well played game!! Sry Bro!!
Next week we continue our road trip when we face off against Arizona Cardinals and Matt Leinart.

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!
